Entrepreneurs association keen to set up youth wing
23 April 2024: MALAYSIAN Dato’ Entrepreneurs’ Association (MDEA) may set up a youth wing to nurture young entrepreneurs. Deputy president Datuk Seri Teo Shiok Fu said young entrepreneurs could gain knowledge from the association’s 100 members all over the country. Teo added that the association would also work closely with the Johor government to spearhead the state’s growth and development.
MDEA president Dato' Sri Jacky Ker Cherk Yee said Johor-based businessmen would work with their Singaporean counterparts for the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ).
Also present were vice-president Datuk Jane Go Lian Tin, secretary general Datuk Kelvin Lee Boon Huat, treasurer Datuk Albert Ding Choo Earn, council member Datuk Anna Lim Sok Keng and appointed council member Datuk Anson Loo Kuoh Yoon.
Teo said the association would also focus on corporate social responsibility initiatives, including organising a medical camp in a rural area in August.
