Dato’ Ir. David Lee Hoke Hai is a highly accomplished and respected individual in the engineering and development industry. With a wealth of experience and leadership roles under his belt, he has made significant contributions to the success of various organizations.

As the founding Managing Director of Johmanco Sdn Bhd since 1994, Dato’ Ir. David Lee has played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s strategic direction and ensuring its growth and prosperity across different business segments. His leadership and expertise have been instrumental in establishing Johmanco as a prominent player in the industry.

Prior to his current position, Dato’ Ir. David Lee served as the Project Manager of T.K. Teo Management Sdn Bhd from 1986 to 1995. During this period, he gained invaluable experience in project management, honing his skills and building a strong foundation for his future endeavors. Additionally, he held the position of Director at Praire Development Sdn Bhd from 1994 to 2012, accumulating a total of 36 years in the development field. This extensive experience allowed him to excel in negotiation and successfully close numerous joint venture projects.

Dato’ Ir. David Lee’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Perunding B & O, a company specializing in project management and township planning designs for civil and structural works. This venture showcases his versatility and involvement in various aspects of the engineering and development industry.

More recently, Dato’ Ir. David Lee has ventured into housing development and serves as the director of Johmanco Land Sdn Bhd, a development company. He has successfully completed the sale of the first phase of a housing project and has launched the second phase in Kota Masai, further expanding his portfolio.

With his professional achievements, Dato’ Ir. David Lee has garnered recognition and memberships in prestigious organizations. He holds the title of Professional Civil Engineer and has completed all IEM/BEM Part 1 & 2 exams, solidifying his technical expertise. He is a registered engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and holds memberships in the Institute of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM), and the ASEAN Engineers Register (AER).

Throughout his career, Dato’ Ir. David Lee has actively participated in professional organizations, assuming various leadership positions. He served as the Chairman of the Institute of Engineers Malaysia Southern Branch (IEM SB) from 2013 to 2014, demonstrating his commitment to the advancement of the engineering profession. He has also held positions such as Education Group Director (Academy) in the CEO Department (2017 to 2019) and Diplomatic and Foreign Service Advisor (2019-2021) in The Bossclub of Malaysia, and Vice President of the JT Friendship City Cultural & Economy Association since 2018. Currently, he serves as a Council Member in MDEA, further contributing to the industry.
